Bocce Ball Grill Out

Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. APRIL B. for hosting a fabulous afternoon on Saturday! It was Chris's 29th birthday;) and they decided to host a little birthday Bar-B-Q get together. The dark clouds and rain held out until we were all heading home! It was so nice to see our friends and, as my father would say, "Sit around and tell a bunch of big ol' lies!" The family of friends is growing with babies now, and our gatherings are becoming even more entertaining! Of course I brought my camera along and managed to take about 150 photos! It couldn't have happened without Stephanie holding Carver for most of the afternoon! Thanks Steph, you're a natural with babies!
So here are a few of my favorites, I'm currently trying to teach myself Adobe Flash, so that I can post slideshows and not have to take up so much space on my blog with numerous photographs! Enjoy!

Here is Chris and April. Take note of Chris's t-shirt, he must have about a gazillion of these since he owns his own kickass skateboard shop in Jenkintown, called Final Boarding! His shop has a pretty nice size inventory of the best skate, snowboarding and clothing gear around!

Fun times on Saturday for sure!

Happy Hump Day!

This week is flying by! Shoot, everyday is flying by! It's been 6 weeks since Carver's birth and he's been growing like crazy, off of breastmilk!! He's almost 13lbs. and when he hits that weight mark we're going to start using our medium size g diapers. We purchased our starter kit at a fabulous establishment for mothers and families called the Maternal Wellness Center in Mt. Airy. Carver tried one this morning and it was slightly too big on him, however it did hold up to his super soaker capabilities! Unfortunately our plumbing may not be up to snuff and Kyle forbids me to flush the diapers down our toilets, but at least they will decompose in our compost pile (which I have yet to start).

After stopping by the Maternal Wellness Center, we did a little grocery shopping across the street at the Weavers Way Co-op. We're waiting for our temporary membership card and we will be attending their orientation meeting in June! I can't wait! Everyone was so friendly and helpful there. I love how you have to weigh and price your own produce, which is either locally grown, organic and or free traded! If there is a food coop near your home, I highly recommend you check it out! Below is a photo that a friendly Mt.Airy neighbor took of Kyle, Carver and I, it was the first family photo since Carver's birth!

Carver Spotlight!

I thought that Carver, the biggest and brightest star of the Kielinski household, has not had his fair share of the My Loves blog spotlight! So here is a post just for him. I'm sure there will be many more 'Carver' postings to come!

Here he is, just 1 day old at Bryn Mawr Hospital, April 12, 2007. W. Carver weighed 9 lbs. and was 21 in. long. He had his 1 month doctor's visit today - he weighed 12 lbs. 7 oz. and is 22 1/2 in. long! He sure has grown a lot in the past month.

One week old at home with his very proud papa.

O.k. Let me make myself perfectly clear, by saying 'Kyle styled Carver's hair for these shots!' For the first week Carver was home Kyle was obsessed with brushing his hair in ridiculous styles. The style with the pointy forehead thingy Kyle called the 'Danzig' doo.

Carver loves to look at the window. He's 2 weeks old here!

This is one of my favorite shots of Kyle and Carver. Sitting him in his Boppy and playing with him has become a daily routine for Kyle when he gets home from work. Carver is about 3 weeks old here.

This photo was taken at 6:30 am. Carver was probably a little over a week old and Kyle and I were realizing that we were not going to be sleeping in
EVER AGAIN!

This adorable T-shirt was given to Carver by our very good friends Megan, Alex & Jeff. He wore it this past Monday and I had to get some pictures of him with it on! He looks like a little man!

This is Jeff and his 6 month old son Alex! Alex loves to laugh and is now sitting up all by himself! Go Alex!!

Here is 'Curly' Carver. He's only 'Curly' after he gets a bath, and this was yesterday.

Last but not least... Carver has been talking for the last week or so. Here he is moving his little arms and legs a lot while speaking with his friend, Lion, early yesterday morning. This lasted for a good 1/2 hour and I loved watching and listening to every minute of it!

Mothers Day & Our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary!!!

We can't believe it's been a whole year since our wedding! Time is flying by!
This past Sunday was fabulous! Beautiful weather and we celebrated with family at Little Forrest Village aka Kielinski residence. Kyle grilled up delicious steak, Ann and my mother served up mixed salad, pasta salad, zucchini & green beans and colorful fruit salad! For dessert we had 'Jersey Shore' sticky buns, and one of my favorites.. ice cream cake.
The kids enjoyed playing T ball with GranAnn and PapaWoo. Cappy had a blast chasing the balls, and my mother and I stayed in shade while I nursed Carver. Kyle was running around with Cappy and snapping photos of everyone.

Carver slept while we all ate, and his Uncle Craig thought he looked liked a character from the show The OC!

Abuela Doris ALWAYS wants to hold Carver. Unfortunately that day whenever she held him he was either sleeping, or crying.

In honor of Carver and his birth, Kyle and I saved the placenta after his delivery to bury and plant a tree.

It was the first time Carver met his loving Aunt Tracy.

Bailey does a fantastic job modeling her Bonpoint ensemble, that GranAnn and PapaWoo brought back from their Germany trip.

Nature Walk

Last week, we took a nice long walk along the Schulkill river. Kyle brought along his camera to photograph some old mill ruins, unfortunately I don't have those shots to show:( But here is Carver, Cappy and myself sporting a Moby Wrap!

So Much to Say, So Little Time!!

I'm very excited to share our exciting news with everyone! I really wanted to have this blog started before we had Carver, so that I could keep posting every so often, up until the BIG day! Well, Carver is now 4 weeks old! These four weeks have flown by, however the first week did seem to last forever. I'm breastfeeding, and the first 2 weeks were definitely tricky. I could go on and on about that, but that may take a while to type out, and I currently don't have that much time.

Carver is napping at the moment, so I've managed to put off doing any other "Mom" duties, for a few minutes..eh hum.. a half hour? Well, I am very pleased to say that our fabulous son is nothing short of FABULOUS!! He is really a great baby. He loves to look around and take in ALL of his surroundings, so much that he sometimes forgets that he needs to sleep. That's when I cuddle and sing to him for 10 - 15 min. until he falls asleep, which I don't mind doing one bit (unless it's 2 am). He is quite content in hanging out with himself, so long as he is near the action.
Last weekend, Kyle and I planted flowers in the front yard, while Carver sat in his vibrating Papasan chair on the front porch. Cappy was happy to keep Carver company and safe from any intruders! Oh don't worry, I was checking on Carver about every 5 minutes! Here are some photos from this past week's adventures..
